Products

The Company will be in the business of research, development and selling of improved seeds of various crops. It will leverage the science of genetics and plant breeding to develop and deploy crop varieties with higher productivity and better quality. The farmers of the country will be the main customers for these products who will be reached through a nation-wide distribution channel.

The operations have now been launched in the state of Tamil Nadu and in the crop, Paddy. The flagship product of the Company is an improved rice variety, AGR 297, a mutant variety developed using genomic approaches and extensive field testing. It showed significantly improved yield compared to the control variety and had superior grain qualities that would fetch a premium price in the market. The initial development of this variety was done in our sister concern, Agrigenome Labs Private Limited and a license for its commercial use has been obtained by Sthayika.

In addition to this flagship product, Sthayika is also producing several popular notified varieties or rice, suited for the different growing seasons, for sale in Tamil Nadu.
